Mrs. Morgan is a wonderful teacher and tutor. She has been working with my niece Rachel for the last three years and the results are evident each and every day as Rachel develops the necessary skills and strategies to become an independent reader. Rachel is also gaining confidence, which is so critical for a student with learning disabilities. As a former teacher, I appreciate the time and effort Mrs. Morgan puts into creating weekly lessons for Rachel. Mrs. Morgan’s can do attitude and love of learning is contagious. She creates a learning environment that is welcoming and fun, yet conveys the seriousness of the tasks at hand. I can think of no one better than Mrs. Morgan to entrust the important job of teaching a child.

Thank you Ms. Morgan! You have helped our son and grandson with his reading, writing, math, and history. Since Logan began his tutoring sessions, we have seen a major improvement with his grades, his attitude toward school, but most of all his “new” self confidence. We are so happy with his progress that he has made as a result of visiting and learning with you!

I am writing you to thank you again for giving my daughter the foundation and skills that she needed to be successful in school. She just found out that she is ranked #8 out of 516 students and I attribute it to her years of work with you!!! Thinking back to where she was in Kindergarten, coming home saying how stupid she was to now, #8! It’s truly amazing and again, we cannot thank you enough!!! You taught her study skills, organization, and attention to details which enables her to study, play field hockey, play soccer, and dance. Time management and organization have been keys to her success and you had a huge part in teaching her how to be organized. She certainly was NOT organized when you first met her. Thanks so much for everything!

I liked how Mrs. Morgan let me write on the chalkboard. It was fun and it helped me to write in a new way. We did our scooping syllables and practiced handwriting on the board. She has an awesome downstairs with lots of books and dolls and things to look at. I know that Mrs. Morgan really liked to know how I was doing and what was going on in my life. Reading was hard for me, but she has helped it get easier for me.

"Our nine year old daughter struggled with reading, guessing at words instead of sounding them out, and losing her place frequently. Sue Morgan’s knowledge and skill helped take the dread out of reading for our daughter. Sue was very flexible in accommodating the needs of our family’s schedule. Sue utilized a variety of techniques to assist our daughter, including focusing on our child’s tactile learning style, and employing phonetic rules. Sue is an extremely patient, but firm teacher. She understands that the children she sees have most likely been struggling for a while, and recognizes their potential for frustration as they approach their difficult task. A few sessions were all Sue needed to accurately analyze what things my child enjoyed doing and what things were “hot buttons” that stirred up anxiety. By using current events and topics that pertained to my child’s life, Sue was able to connect reading with areas that my daughter felt comfortable with. So, instead of being a scary or mundane task, reading became an avenue to learn more about a enjoyable interest. Although we were only able to be under Sue’s tutelage for a short time, it has set the stage for our daughter’s future success in reading. Thank you, Sue!”

"I began homeschooling my daughter in the 3rd grade. She was not reading and I felt she needed more attention than she was receiving in public school. Well, needless to say it has been a struggle and there were times when I felt that I had made a very bad decision. I spent a year trying different teaching methods and nothing seemed to help. This was a very scary feeling. I realized we both needed help, I decided we needed a tutor. I cannot tell you how happy I am that we found Sue Morgan. Sue is a such a kind teacher. And, the classroom she has set up in her home, is inviting & filled with everything she needs to teach your child. I even love to linger there. Needless to say, having Sue tutor my child has been a very positive experience. My daughter is now reading & she looks forward to her classes with Mrs. Morgan. They have a real bond of trust. Sue has also been helpful to me, in my new teaching position. She has given me a great deal of guidance and has relieved me of many of my worries. Thank you Sue, so much for all you have done. We appreciate your kindness and dedication. You‘ve given hope and confidence. What a wonderful gift!”
